Andreas Walther\u2014<\/strong>CV<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Andreas Walther was born in Gie\u00dfen, Germany, in 1971.<\/span><\/p>\n

He studied at the Academy of Arts <\/em>in Bremen<\/em>\u00a0(Germany) and the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (Germany)<\/em>. Since 1999 he presents his artistic work to the public in solo and group exhibitions in Germany, Taiwan and other countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

In summer 2018, he was present at MOCA Studio in Museum of Contemporary Arts Taipei (Chang An West Road, Taipei City) in a solo exhibition titled \u201cWandering \u904a\u6b77\u201d, in cooperation with the Goethe Institut Taipei.<\/span><\/p>\n

Upcoming in March of this year, his work will be shown at Tainan New Arts Price in Mitsuiro Workshop (\u6c34\u8272\u85dd\u8853\u5de5\u574a) Tainan. Later in the year, an exhibition with his work will be on display at Per van der Horst Gallery in Tianmu (\u8cc0\u88f4\u723e\u85dd\u8853\u7a7a\u9593)<\/span><\/p>\n

Moreover, Andreas Walther occasionally realizes curatorial projects; the most recent one in Taiwan was \u201aTaipei Space\u2019 salon for intercultural dialogue in Hsindian\u2019s New Garden City<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his photographic work, he concentrates on the boundaries separating and connecting Nature and landscape. His works are the result of a multilayered creative process including profound studies of a particular atmosphere on location. In his reflecting on the aspects of sensing (Empfinden<\/em>) and perceiving (Wahrnehmen) within the artistic process, he takes account of Chinese philosophy (Daoism) and art (Shan shui<\/em>).<\/span><\/p>\n

Andreas Walther lives in Germany and Taiwan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Wu Chiehhsiang\u2014<\/strong>CV<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. WU Chieh-Hsiang is an Associate Professor of the Department of Arts at the National Changhua University of Education. She earned her master’s and doctorate degrees in sociology and art history at the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg, Germany. In 2013 and 2014, Dr. WU chaired Taiwan’s Association of the Visual Arts, a nationwide association for the rights and benefits of visual artists.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since 2015, Dr. WU is the board member and executive director of the Taiwan Association of Cultural Policy Studies. In addition to her devotion to cultural policy, Dr. WU is an accredited essayist and art critic; her articles are published in various periodicals and platforms. Her recent research focuses on the culture of memory and art projects reflecting the unjust incidents in the past, as well as the interrelations between the state power and exhibiting institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n
