This ten-week writing workshop is designed to enable graduate students the following background knowledge and professional skills in thesis writing in English: (1) to introduce the learners to the concept of “research”; (2) to enable them to understand the stages of research; (3) to familiarize the learners with the procedures involved in research; (4) to introduce them to the conventions of research papers; (5) to familiarize them the techniques and conventions of research documentation.
- This workshop will hopefully guide students through the process of finding a research topic within the scope of a Master’s thesis.
- This workshop will read materials included in the reading list in order to familiarize with the organization and writing techniques of a thesis.
- This workshop will proceed as a group to share, listen to and help each other’s reading and research through discussions.
- This workshop expects to see the development of every student’s research project through the process.
