※Please print out and sign the application forms, scan and upload them to the system.
※If the applicant is of foreign nationality as specified in Article 2 under MOE’s Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan and has (or had) R.O.C. nationality, additional proof is required. Proof can be entry and departure records for the past six years, a declaration form stating that the applicant does not hold an R.O.C. household registration, Certificate of Nationality Renouncement of Republic of China or other documentation.
※Eligible applicants who graduate in the same year of their admission to National Taiwan Normal University must submit transcripts for each academic semester, the enrollment certificate or the letter/proof of expected graduation, and the ‘Deposition of Admission Documents for National Taiwan Normal University International Applicants,’ and they are not required to submit the diploma during application. The diploma and transcripts for each academic semester must be submitted upon registration (Diplomas or degree certificates from China are required to have the documents notarized by relevant authorities.); otherwise, the applicants admitted to NTNU will have their admission revoked.

Notes | Western Art History Program: Based on the applicant’s level of expertise, the GIAH reserves the right to decide whether the applicant will need to take other relevant courses after being admitted. Eastern Art History Program: 1. Based on the applicant’s level of expertise, the GIAH reserves the right to decide whether the applicant will need to take other relevant courses after being admitted. 2. A few necessary courses for the EAH Program might be given in English. 3. Admitted students of the EAH Program shall take the TOCFL Level 3 for Chinese proficiency. Those who do not reach the proficiency level should take Chinese language courses as required. |

Application Requirements
- Proof of Highest Educational Qualification (Required): Graduation certificate or proof of enrollment.

- For the Eastern Art History Group: One to two recommendation letters in Chinese or English
- For the Western Art History Group: One to two recommendation letters in English
Submission Method: Students must upload the electronic file themselves.
- Proof of Payment for Department Review Fee (Required):
The application review fee for each department is NT$750. Payment can be made via credit card. Applicants must log into the school’s website (URL: https://bds.oia.ntnu.edu.tw/bds/ocpay), fill in their personal information, and complete the payment online.
Applicants who do not complete the above procedure will be deemed ineligible for review. Once paid, the review fee is non-refundable. - Other Supporting Materials for Review (Optional):

- For the Eastern Art History Group: Any additional materials beneficial for the review, such as Chinese language proficiency certification. Applicants who attended overseas Taiwanese schools, or those applying from countries or regions where Chinese is an official language, are exempt from providing Chinese language proficiency certificates. In such cases, a Chinese autobiography, Chinese course transcripts, or other relevant documents can be submitted instead.
- For the Western Art History Group: Any additional materials beneficial for the review, such as proof of English (or foreign language) proficiency.
